Three suspected ritualists have been arrested by men of the Ondo
State Police command over the death of two students of Adeyemi College
of Education, Ondo State.
The suspects said they were contracted to kill the students for the sum of N15 million
The suspects confessed that the exorbitant price of human parts lured them into the ritual business.
The suspects were John Adenitire – 30 years, a.k.a Emir, Fisayo Fasanu a.k.a Abore and Abdulrafiu Tijani, a herbalist .
The suspected ritualists and 15 other suspected armed robbers were
paraded by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gbenga Adeyanju at the
command headquarters in Igbatoro road, Akure , the State capital.
Two students of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Miss Oladepo
Blessing and Oluwasemilore Mary had earlier been declared missing until
their decomposing bodies were found in the bush
But, the suspects confessed that they were responsible for the
killing of the two female students of the institution, saying they cut
their hands and breasts.
One of the suspects, John Adenitire , said he was introduced to the business by one of his friends known as Fisayo Fasanu.
According to him, “I was in my house when John Adenitire ‘Abore’ told
me he has business for me . He said they want to do ritual. I said what
they wanted to do was powerful. They said there is no going be any
problem.
“The second day around 9.30 pm, we went for the job, two girls and
one boy. We picked the two girls and took them into the bush, we removed
the left breast and the left hand and took them to the herbalists. We
left the other parts in the bush.
We had a friend known as Shile, he was the one who took the parts of
the ladies to a particular ritualist at Ijebu Igbo and the another one
at Ore.
” Shile is our leader. He was the one who recruited others into the
business. Sile and Abore was the Ones who said the man who needed the
parts has promised to pay us N15 million.
He said the money they were promised was yet to get to them when they were arrested by the police.
