The weekly fluff from the Telegraph
via club sources has arrived, bearing tidings of further intentions to
make “up to four more signings” this month before the transfer window
slams shut on our fingers and we cry DJILOBODJI.
The names unfortunately aren’t anything new:
- Alex Sandro — who’s been set to stay at Juventus for at least a month now
- Danny Drinkwater — this rumor was debunked in the same sentence with which it was created
- Ross Barkley — not a position of need and nonsense at £50m and likely to go to Spurs anyway
- Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain — this may be the most likely, but he’s got a month to sign a new deal with Arsenal instead.
What is new however is this intriguing tidbit, which
sounds rather confident even as just a teaser to dangle in front of an
increasingly worried fanbase. Remember, depth is only one ‘p’ away from
death.
