SHOCKING: Nigeria’s MDG office pays N154 million for one borehole
Nigeria’s Millennium Development Goals (MDG) office spent N154.2 million to construct a single borehole in Abuja, in what appears a shocking example of contract inflation that has helped undermine the country’s ability to achieve its MDG goals.
Drilling a single borehole in Abuja averages N1.5 million. A hydrology firm told PREMIUM TIMES that amount should cover drilling and casing, installation of a solar-powered submersible pump, steel tower for the tanks, tanks, pipes, joints & suckers, installation and labour.
Boy 'born with 3 penises' undergoes pioneering surgery to leave him with just one
A little boy born with three penises in an incredibly rare occurrence has undergone pioneering surgery to correct the abnormality. According to reports, the two-year-old pictured above with his mum suffers from diphallia, a rare condition where a male is born with two penises.
He also had a third penis considered rudimentary, or undeveloped. In addition, the unnamed boy was born without an anus.
However, last month, he went under the knife to correct the physical abnormalities, and his family are now hopeful that he will be able to "lead a normal life".

What his foes won’t tell you
Game of politics is too nauseating to percuss; and its government business environment too nasty to peregrinate. For many years, I had switched off Nigeria in my head; the choice to stay back in the United States basking in its refreshing winter and kicking back in its sweet summer has always been a safe one.
